Q: What effect does “FLOMAX” have on a man’s prostrate?
Doe this medicine help with E.D?

A: ED is 100% rectifiable. Don’t worry. If your hormone levels are normal and just ED then there shall be no worry.

Consult a medical qualified doctor who can help you. Never buy medicines online without prescription.

Q: Does Retrograde Ejaculation sound like a good thing?
When you take Flomax prostate medicine a side effect is Retrograde Ejaculation. This is when your seamen flows up into your bladder , rather than out your Penis. Does this seem healthy

A: While it may not sound healthy, it is better than the alternatives that the medicine is being taken for. Not being able to urinate properly is much worse.
Just because it lists this as a potential side effect, it doesn’t mean that it will happen.

Q: What is the package size of flomax?
This is medicine

A: It’s sold in whatever sizes your doctor prescribes it for you. If it’s been prescribed, your pharmacy will fill it in that size whether it comes in a nice pretty pre-packaged container or not. If you’re prescribed 53 pills or some other random number, they can get you that many. Ask your pharmacist if you have more in depth questions (like how big the box/bottle for your prescription would be)

Q: Avodart, Flomax, & Uroxatral for BPH (Enlarged prostate)?
If you have an enlarged prostate and a Dr has described one of these medicines do you have to take them for the rest of your life? And don’t say ask your Dr. I forgot to ask him. Anybody have any experience with these meds? My Dr gave me Uroxatral. I did not like the long list of side effects of Avodart and Flomax. Thanks

A: Call on the phone and talk to the nurse if she’s free for a minute. If it were only one med. I would say talk to your pharmacist, but this is getting complicated. You should either find a new doctor with a better “bedside manner,” or if necessary go for another appointment.

Q: Do you check your medicine at the pharmacy?
A doctor was prescribing Flonase for bilateral prostatic hypertrophy. That is a nasal spray. Wrong end. Flomax is the drug of treatment. Keep an eye on what you are taking and make sure it is for the right thing.
No, this was dictated to me. I am sure the prescription was written wrong, and what person would know it was wrong ? The pharmacist would not know because it does not say on the Rx what the medication is for.

Good idea to count them too, and get the correct mg. You are right. They change colors all the time too, with a different brand name.
The Flomax was not for me. I just transcribed the doctor’s notes. Thankfully I do not need it.

A: I thought you meant like counting the pills to make sure you got all that were prescribed, which is a good idea, too. I guess I’d better check more carefully in the future.

Q: Blood test/Urine test for interview….What are they looking for and….?
does certain medicine show up as positive for drugs? I take Flomax/Uroxatrol for my prostate. Didn’t mention it on the application. Now worried it will show up in either urine or blood test they took.

Anyone with knowledge on this I’d appreciate a comment

Thanks

A: Any medication, especially taken on a daily basis, will show up in your blood system. They are looking for any type of illegal drugs in your system. If they mention that they found something in your system then they will ask you to bring in any prescriptions you are currently taken. They may also ask for a letter from the doctor stating that you are under their care and taking this medication. If you really want to clear the air though and get to them before they question you, then call the HR department there and explain to them exactly what you explained here. They should understand completely and you will be fine. It’s important to be honest right from the start, if they feel you are hiding something from them, even if you didn’t intend to, they will get a bad taste in their mouths about you and not hire you. Good luck and happy holidays.

Q: Ignoring Dr’s Advice on BPH?
I am 47 and I have BPH. If you don’t know what that is look it up. My GP wanted me to take Avodart and I wouldn’t because of the side effects it would cause. My Urologist wanted me to take Flomax. Again, I said no. That is old man medicine and I’m not an old man! Besides, it has similar side effects that Avodart has. My question is this, if I just ignore it and just live with it and not take the medicine, will I be doing harm to myself. From what I have read it doesn’t seem so. Anybody her have this problem and not take the medicine? Thanks.
I’ve tried Saw Palmetto and it does not work. And 47 IS NOT old!

A: I would try to go for all natural medicine. That may be your best bet. Sounds like doctor might be getting kick backs from pushing certain pharma. Please get a second and possibly a third opinion. take care.

Thanks

A: Flomax is a good drug with minimal side effects. It allows you to pass urine more easily by relaxing the muscles around the base of the bladder. It has no effect on prostatic size.
Avodart prevents the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotesterone and will over 6-12 months decrease the size of your prostate
Uroxatral is similar to flomax except its in slow release form. If you are having physical problems passing urine this is your best bet
